Inspired by the natural beauty of her surroundings, Helena’s work incorporates the rich, wild Irish landscapes and evokes feelings of the natural world. Growing up in the Yorkshire moorlands, Helena now calls Northern Ireland home, a place where the lush Mourne Mountains sprawl into the stormy Irish sea. For Helena, art is not about what you see, but how it makes you feel. Her bold use of colour and rich texture create a pronounced mood and distinct atmosphere, whilst respectfully leaving enough creative space for the individual viewer’s own imagination. Helena’s work is driven by raw emotion felt through experiencing the breath-taking bleakness of the natural world.
