That's what we asked ourselves at the beginning of 2020. The answer? Ton Sur Ton! Ton Sur Ton is a French fashion term used in the Dutch fashion world. It means that you combine colors from the same color type! How perfect! And of course, Ton Sur Ton also sounds really good! Our ambition is to get every man in a matching set of underwear in a sustainable way! Free pair of boxers with first order* Fleet London came into being when our founder, for many years a finance guy, couldn’t source sensibly priced casual shirts made from quality lighter cotton rather than heavier oxford, and when his favourite brand of classic cut boxers suddenly evolved into a wider-legged loose-fitting form. So today we offer sharp shirts with the neatness of a button collar and the practicality of a breast pocket, with contrasting collar and sleeve placket taping, an embroidered logo and spare buttons in a waxed paper envelope. Our boxers have a slightly slimmer fit with side slits for extra comfort. Our logo is the atlantic salmon, a fish that has started to re-appear in the Thames in the last few years for the first time since the 1830s, a clear signifier of the cleaning and rebirth of London’s river system. All of our cotton is Better Cotton Initiative and Oekotex compliant.

My hosiery creations explore new design possibilities and push the boundaries of what a sock is, how it can be made and how it can be worn as I explore new territory within fashion. These designs will change how many people still view socks as accessories by reinventing hosiery and its construction to make them the main feature of an outfit. At present, men are the main purchasers of socks and Atypical Attire will tip the balance with fun, playful and edgy designs which use the same level of creativity seen in the rest of clothing design, attracting more women to the market. Atypical Attire experiments with new styles of construction and adds accessories and embellishments never before seen on socks and only used in other areas of clothing, including zips, eyelets and dungaree clips, with plans to explore much further.
