The company was established in the late 1960s and was incorporated in March 1972 by the founder and our chairman Tony Tyler. In the early years of trading we were manufacturing record players right here in the UK, in an old converted cinema in a village just 12 miles from the head office today. In the 1980s Steepletone moved its manufacturing to the Far East to remain competitive in the market place.
