Description
An A6 greetings card, approx 14.9x10.5cm. Each card is left blank inside and comes with a recycled kraft paper envelope.
The card is made from plantable paper which is handmade in India using pre-consumer recycled cotton left over from the textile industry. This material is designed to break down easily in the soil and does not involve the use of machines. It is embedded with wildflower seeds that can vary in species but are typically a mix of Sweet Alyssum, Baby’s Breath, Rudbeckia, Poppy, Ice Plant and Blanket Flower. Planting instructions are provided on the back of each card.
Due to the handmade production method, each sheet can vary slightly in texture, thickness and colour, making every single card unique. It also means there’s a higher rate of germination as seeds have not been crushed or exposed to heat.
All designs were originally hand-drawn by multi award-winning artist Lucy Webster. They have been printed using an inkjet printer and eco inks so no chemicals will be released when the cards are planted.
