Taste notes snakefruit, raw cacao, smokey oak Varietal Regional Mix Process Semi-washed (Giling Basah) Region GAYO HIGHLANDS, Aceh, Sumatra, Indonesia Sumatra is famous for their bold coffees and especially the legendary Gayo region. This particular coffee is a regional mix in which the focus is on quality. To make sure you get the best flavours the beans have been screened to a common size and went through a triple process of hand-picking out any defects. This hard labour results in a reduction of earthy notes and an increase in clarity of flavour compared to its counter-parts. Next to that a unique treatment was used to process the coffee beans - “Giling Basah” (Indonesian for “wet grinding”) or otherwise known as Semi-wash which in addition reduces acidity and makes the body even more pronounced.
