Ethically crafted from natural fibers and vegetable dyes@ each of these cactus silk pillows represents days of work and generations of skill passed from mother to daughter. Just outside of Marrakech@ a remarkable group of women transform the natural fibers of desert agave into beautiful silken thread using time-honored methods. The hand-spun thread is then masterfully woven on family looms and embroidered with traditional motifs. Through their weaving@ these women are redefining traditional gender roles and finding financial independence.
