Letterpress PLAY was founded by Kyle Hawley with the goal of sharing the magic of printing with the world paired with encouraging others to think about fostering sustainable choices and community. Artistically led by Kyle, we beautifully craft products in our design studio in Austin as well as carefully curate quality goods from local artisans and unique makers from around the world. We believe everyone, big or small, should experience the joy of creating something with their hands, and it is our mission to foster community and play for everyone. Using wooden type and letterpress machines, we let our imaginations run wild as we handcraft one-of-a-kind products. And, we do it all with mother earth in mind—biodegradable packaging, recyclable paper, natural dyes, organic cotton, and no-waste toys. As a tribute to pioneering women in print, we named all eight of our beloved letterpress machines after famous female printers who made a lasting mark on our world.

Best Years are a small, friendly and ethical independent toy company supplying independent shops and museums. Whether organic, fair trade or ethically sourced our toys are all suitable from birth, tested to UKCA and CE and machine washable. We have toys suitable for baby hampers and baby gifts up to large dinosaur soft toys. Our production partners share our values and we work with artisans and toy makers in Sri Lanka, Egypt, China, India & Vietnam. NB. we do not allow the sale of our toys on Amazon, Ebay or other third party platforms. Not only do we think that we have the cutest toys around but they are uniquely suited to the needs of young children. Knitted toys bring a tactile quality to baby toys which is great for helping sensory development. They are robust enough to stand up to even the most active of toddler play. And machine washable too! We’re Anna and Rob, first-time business owners and parents to our darling Grace, our little Peanut and Priya our gorgeous dalmatian dog. The business is run by both of us with Anna being the main Designer with her design & art teacher background and Rob leading the advertising and marketing. Our journey began very quickly after we fell pregnant with our little peanut in July 2019. As you do, we began the crazy baby shopping frenzy that all new parents to embark on, from bedroom furniture and clothes to pram shopping and newborn items. During our usual night-time shopping and reading on our phones, we came across an article which spoke in detail about the importance of babies seeing high contrasting colours like black & white for their eye and brain development at an early age. Intrigued as we were, Anna began designing a variety of different high contrast images to print on photo cards with the intention of using them with Grace once she was born.

Kylie has a passion for fabrics and design, and particularly loves to combine textures and mediums; knits and fabrics, stretch and floral cottons, adding different layers to a piece that would otherwise be one dimensional. Kylie draws a lot of inspiration from her own childhood, and particularly likes to create timeless pieces that evoke a sense of nostalgia. The inspiration for the labels' name comes from one of her favourite nursery rhymes from her childhood, Hey Diddle Diddle. Hello, Dave & Mary here from Ryantown Toys & Gifts We set up Ryantown Toys in 2010 after our first Child was born and are now selling into over 500 shops in Ireland/UK and Europe. We received a beautiful wooden Name Train as a gift for our son. Everyone who visited commented on how beautiful it was and on how well it was made. It is something that we still treasure to this day. Little did we know this gift would start a major life change for us. After some deep research and heart felt discussion we decided to adapt our careers at the time and set up Ryantown Toys and Gifts, supplying these beautiful wooden toys to children in Ireland and the UK. We then sourced high quality manufacturing that adhere to all Toy Safety Standards.
