We are Timberkits and we design and manufacture mechanical models sold in kit form. They feature a wide range of themes and are suitable for ages 9 to 90. Each kit provides ready machined and prepared mechanical components, instructions, glue, wax, drive bands and all things needed for discovering basic engineering in a fun and creative way. We think of them as an opportunity to experience the meeting of science and art. Timberkits has been running for 30 years and epitomises great British design, inmgenuity and above all, quirk! The models are timeless and enduring and the construction process is immersive. They provide a genuine challenge but a huge sense of achievement upon completion when the model maker can finally turn the handle and bring their creation to life with the magic of mechanical movement.
