Description

Create a captivating centrepiece in your home or office with this stunning Crystal Sphere and Stand. Each crystal sphere has been carefully cut by expert artisans and hand-polished to enhance its unique natural beauty. The specimen is mounted on its axis using a “Semi-Meridian” style stand made from sturdy black metal, offering you an incredible 360° display. Traditionally the Tiger Eye gemstone was carried as a protective amulet to ward off curses and to keep the wearer safe from ill-wishes. In some parts of the world, the stone is believed to ward off the evil eye - a curse brought about by a malevolent glare that causes misfortune or injury. Roman soldiers wore engraved tigers' eyes to protect them in battle.Tiger's Eye is a variety of quartz exhibiting the optical effect “chatoyancy”, a vertical luminescent band like that of a cat's eye. Tiger's eye is formed when parallel veins of crocidolite fibres are altered to iron oxides and then replaced by silica. As a result it is more opaque, and has a rich yellow to brown colour.Stand Dimensions: 15 x 8 x 31 cmSphere Dimensions: 65mm
