Here at Sydney's, this is our answer- this Sumatra is a coffee we are proud to say is best roasted darker. We drop it right as second crack starts in the roaster, allowing it to complete in the cooling tray.
Tasting notes are a wonderful spice, mixed with a touch of heavy molasses. We love this coffee without cream, but your cream-crowd will also enjoy that the dark roast taste is not heavily muted by the milk.
We recommend starting with 3oz of ground coffee for 64oz of water, then adjust the grind setting until you achieve at least 5 minutes of water contact time. Adjust until the initial taste on the tongue is spice."
