Description
Our lovely reusable Kalamkari cotton gift bags were ethically handmade by empowered women artisans in India. Each bag is sturdy and strong, with thick upcycled sari lining to ensure that trinkets, gifts or anything else is stored securely.
Kalamkari is a type of hand printed or hand block printed cotton textile; it is derived from an ancient style of painting by hand using a tamarind pen and natural dyes. The term kalamkari refers to a specific style of craftsmanship by pen, "kalam" and "kari", which means craft, derived from Persian.
These eco-friendly alternatives to paper gift bags are handmade using ethically sourced cotton, decorated with Kalamkari prints and lined using recycled sari cloth. They can be re-used over and over, and they are brilliant for wrapping small or large gifts, storing your favourite bits and bobs, and they make brilliant wine or other bottle gift bags! Chic and tree-free, our gift bags are reversible, reusable and fabulous.
