The Wild & Stone mission was to make a natural alternative to consumer plastics that were simply designed and, most importantly, ensured our customers could make the switch to plastic alternatives more easily. According to a report from the UK government, disposable coffee cups are made from paper and lined with plastic, which makes them waterproof. This plastic lining cannot be removed by most recycling facilities. Once the cup is used, the paper part is then usually contaminated by the cup’s contents. There is no UK or European market for contaminated paper food packaging. We have chosen to use glass as a material so as not to affect the taste of your drink, as metal or bamboo has been shown to leech harmful chemicals into your drink.
