Ceylon Cinnamon , from the Latin Cinnamomum Zeylanicum Verum , has been used in South Asia for millennia for its warm and spicy aromas , and for its antiseptic, antiviral, antibacterial properties . Since the Middle Ages, it has established itself in Europe as an essential spice, especially during Christmas celebrations. Ceylon Cinnamon different from Cassia, from the Latin Cinnamomum Cassia , which is grown in China , and whose aromas are much less subtle and which has fewer therapeutic properties. Our real organic Ceylon Cinnamon comes from Sri Lanka , and is obtained by drying the bark of the cinnamon tree. Reduced to powder, it gives off an incredible aroma, which will flavor your sweet and savory dishes as well as your drinks (mulled wine, punch, cocktails, etc.). It goes perfectly with apple, pineapple, pear, orange, chocolate, squash or even oriental dishes... Our cinnamon is available in 40 g and 80 g glass bottles, or in a 250 g refill bag.
