Spanish Olive Oil - A Long Success Story
Olive oil is a staple food in Spain. You can already see that in the per capita consumption compared to Germany. Our southern European friends use almost 11 times as much olive oil a year as we do. The juice of the noble stone fruit is of course closely linked to Spanish history and lifestyle. As early as 1000 BC. brought the first trees to Spain. And today, a good 3,000 years later, the numerous olive trees from Andalusia to Catalonia cover almost half of the world's olive oil supply.
