Description

Design by Raf Reyes: an anti-hero is a central character in a stVRy, film or drama who lacks conventional heroic attributes. ⚔️ 🧩 very close to the concept of “underdog”, he/she is largely expected to lose and hence an “underdog bet” is a bet on the outsider, for which the odds are unlikely and more risky 🏴‍☠️ At the dawn of his turbulent life, Caravaggio, tired of escaping and discouraged by the death sentence that still hangs on his head, painted his famous David with the head of Goliath. The treats of Goliath’s head are very similar to Caravaggio’s ~ old, suffering, w/ an image of abandonment. Instead, David is compassionate and pitiful, violence being completely absent from his face… 🤯 I can’t help but interpret David as a self-portrait of a young Caravaggio, still pure, erasing his old & sinful version of self → through the decapitation ⌛️⏳ on the sword you can read the letters “H-AS OS”, from the Augustinian motto “Humilitas Occidit Superbiam“, Humility Kills Pride (a very rare motto). Material: Long sleeve woven tapestry jacquard hoodie, heavyweight 350gsm premium cotton polyester mix blend/strand fabric.
