In all civilizations, there are recordings from the mummies of Egypt who were buried along with roses, and it is said that Cleopatra was known to strewn rose petals on the floor of her bedroom floor to welcome Marc Antony. Even Iraq poets of 3000 BC wrote of their fragrance and beauty. In Greek mythology, the rose was symbolic of eternal love. The Muslims recognized it as a symbol of the human soul and would sprinkle rose petals over graves and anoint themselves with the oil of roses before prayers.
