Our consumption changes the world! With every purchase, we decide in which world we want to live. Do we want to continue supporting war, poverty and exploitation? For us it's a clear decision: we do social trade. That's why we travel to conflict regions, search for specialties typical for these countries and trade directly with local farmers. Honest. Direct. And fair. Herby, we strengthen economic structures, fight causes of flight at the root and promote peaceful perspectives. Additionally, you get the chance to enjoy authentic culinary treasuries from all over the world. For example, saffron from Afghanistan. Roasted cereals from Palestine. Or wild tea from Burma. Taste the freedom.

Ringtons' story dates back to 1907 and still remains a family business today. It started when Samuel Smith began selling tea from a horse and cart in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. He started with an initial investment of £250. The company rapidly expanded and one year later, Sam needed two horses and four assistances! Our opportunity to bring this noticeably nicer tea to the states happened serendipitously in 2013. We are proud to introduce Ringtons teas to the American market, and change the concept of what really great tea is (and tea treats, biscuits, cookies, teaware, honey and more!).

Believe it or not, Trishnna Tea was born because when my husband and I had been craving authentic Indian tea for months and we couldn’t find what we were looking for anywhere in the US without breaking the bank! Saurabh has been in the States for over a decade now and I moved here in 2015. Being from India, not only did we miss drinking our classic teas, but also found a distinct lack of high-quality organic tea options in the domestic US market. With the simple objective of offering just that, we co-created Trishnna Tea. And if we were going to do something, we were going to do it right. So, in addition to using 100% USDA Organic tea, all our products are ethically sourced and single origin. We are firm believers of running a sustainable business model that is mindful of creating income for women and caring for the environment. Discover & Enjoy!

Yes, even a product that started being consumed in 2737 BC is subject to trends! And while the market for green tea is growing, with sales forecasting trending upwards between now and 2030, it’s matcha tea that’s really stealing the show, with a predicted annual market growth rate of 8.7% over the next five years, and a greater number of people seeking out wholesale matcha tea products right now.
When reselling food or drink products, we recommend looking for a margin of 30% between the wholesale price and the recommended retail price. But a ‘good’ margin depends on your individual business model and fixed costs, so you may need to seek out higher margin products for your store. Look out for the pink ‘High Margin’ badges which are awarded to products with a higher than average margin.
