Our mission is to design and source good quality ethical and sustainable fair trade products that also make a difference to peoples lives by providing them with continued work. We work exclusively with small producers in India, Nepal and Sri Lanka and visit once a year. We have a vast array of products with new products being added each season.

Established in 2020, we are a small e-commerce wreath and home decor boutique. Our wreaths are handmade in our warehouse in Claremore, OK USA. We cater to the working professional and use high quality products to design our wreaths. We are a small family business (Mother & Daughter) based in Surrey, UK. Our items are predominantly sourced or inspired by the amazing continent of Africa and our frequent travels to family and friends across it's various parts. Items designed in-house by us are inspired by these lived experiences. Collaborating with a specially selected community of creatives, artisans, farmers and producers means that our products are sustainably produced and maintained and eco friendly where indicated. We adopt a fair payment policy for all items bought from this community. Profits fund supplies for both a Women's Co-operative in Bolgatanga and tree sapling planting in Central Ghana and our local food bank in Surrey.

Hastshilp is a small family run UK-based business, run by Aadil and Megan. Our bespoke designs are drawn by hand in our UK-based studio, and then sent over to our partner team in India to be brought to life. All our products are handmade in a small town in Northern India, where Aadil is originally from, by a family whose skills have been passed down through generations. Ethical and sustainable practices were important to us right from the beginning, as well as ensuring we were educated on the whole process, from sourcing to production and everything in between. The concept of Hastshilp began when we weren’t able to find many options of rattan home decor pieces for sale in the UK, and almost none that were made in India. Due to a lack of demand and an increase in cheaper machine-made goods, cane craftsmanship is sadly becoming a dying art in India.
