Every item we sell is handcrafted by our talented artisans, using traditional weaving, knitting or wet felting techniques. We have small production runs to eliminate as much waste material, where possible we also recycle the materials into other products. Therefore reducing our impact the environment as much as possible. We work with small family run businesses or fair trade cooperatives, that are creating secure employment in an area with little opportunity, especially for women.
Evolve Botanica began in the wild woods of Pennsylvania with a little girl raptly studying every plant, flora, and fauna that her grandmother taught her. And with a focus on combining that plant based skincare with modern chemistry, the company began in earnest over 18 years ago. And just as the world around us changes, we continued to Evolve. We bring the best of both worlds into a clean, always cruelty free brand that you can trust. Where possible, we source our ingredients locally from our farming and artisan community, this is core to our brand. With the latest ingredients from our sustainable plant sources, to the cleanest natural product chemistry research, you'll find our products have all of the biggest beauty buzz with none of the parabens, phthalates, sulfates, or petrochemicals.
Fair Trade + Ethically Made Artisan Jewelry, Accessories, and Home Goods
Being hugely influenced by the beautiful painting of ‘Ophelia’, by Sir John Everett Millais, Six Acre Meadow was born out of an obsession with all things feminine, whimsical but most importantly, sustainable. The founder, Clara, started making pouches for family & friends using remnant fabrics saved from her Fashion Design degree in 2007 as a fresh graduate, to help compartmentalize the items in their handbags and around the home, but mostly as an alternative to disposable packaging. This later expanded to other products with a similar aesthetic.
Feel free to order out of stock items - I make them as requested and I LOVE what I do! :) I have been in the jewelry business/selling crafts online since June 2009, and received positive reviews on Etsy and Tophatter . In April 2011 I decided to update my online presence by creating a professional website. I am a graduate of the New York Institute of Art & Design and the Penn Foster Career School, and was one of the featured vendors at local Farmers Markets in the DFW area. Some of my items can be found at Hank & Ellie/ The Mosaic Market (gift shops) in TX, and I also had some of my hand-beaded tapestries showcased at the Tokay Beaded Art museum in Roswell NM. I was a Shared Space Member of CREATE Arlington with 2 of my tapestries exhibited (and sold) at their gallery, and I am a member of The Wild West Bead Society in Arlington TX, as well as The Arlington Gem & Mineral Club. I now have my beaded tapestries on display at the F6 Gallery in Arlington TX.
A storyteller at heart, Chau hand draws her visual stories and turn them into these whimsical card designs. Each design is embedded with characters and visuals from fragments of dreams, childhood memories to pure imagination. The moment you step into this page, you step into her very vivid mind. We hope you enjoy Chau's visual stories and find in them the kindred spirit of love and sentiment that is coherent among all designs. Each item is hand drawn and cut to preserve its most natural feel before being sent to our trusted manufacturer.
