These gorgeous sheets of paisley design gift wrap are handmade and come in a range of colours._x000D__x000D_Each sheet of gift wrap is approximately 75 x 50cm in size._x000D__x000D_All the paper is Fair Trade and handmade in Nepal from Lokta, a plant native to the Himalayas. It is entirely handmade by artisans at Get Paper Industries (GPI), an incredible, socially aware cooperative in Nepal. _x000D__x000D_Minimum order of 10 sheets and sold in multiples of 10._x000D__x000D_The paper is made from the bark of the Lokta or Daphne papyracea plant, that grows in the foothills of the Himalayas. Mountain villagers trek to where the lokta grows, harvest it, then transport it back to the village. It is boiled, cleaned, then beaten with mallets to product the fibre pulp. It is then mixed with water and poured into a shallow floating frame made from bamboo poles stretched with canvas, then it is scattered with petals and sun-dried to produce the crisp long fibre paper. The vibrant colours are created using only azo-free dyes.
