ABOUT THIS SCENT We’re completely in awe of Malala Yousafzai and everything she's fought to overcome and achieve at such a young age. Our aim with our Malala blend was to capture and celebrate her unwavering optimism and determination to create change. We chose lemongrass, lemon and litsea cubeba to give this scent a powerfully uplifting vibe that awakens and energises the senses. All three of these essential oils promote mental clarity and a positive outlook, and we’ve balanced their zesty citrus notes with geranium oil to add a calming undertone. In some cultures geraniums are a symbol of ingenuity; we think this is a perfect choice for a candle inspired by Malala, who is an activist for education and graduated from Oxford University in 2020. Light a Malala candle whenever and wherever you want a burst of refreshing fragrance – we especially love it in the kitchen and the garden. It’s also a great choice for times when you need to focus on work or studying. ABOUT GLØD SCENTED SOY WAX CANDLES GLØD candles are lovingly hand-poured by us, Jo and Charlotte, in our studio in South London. We only use the purest essential oils, cotton wicks and natural soy wax, which means our candles are vegan friendly and burn cleanly and evenly with no black soot and without emitting harmful toxins. Each candle is presented in a reusable glass jar that gives off a lovely soft glow when lit. It’s important to us that we minimise our environmental impact, so our candles are all entirely plastic free and delivered to you in recyclable (and often recycled) packaging.
