Description
A tube containing 20 seed balls, each with 30 mint seeds per ball (600 seeds per tube). These make for lovely garden or kitchen gifts or eco friendly stocking fillers. They will work well in window boxes, balcony pots, garden beds and wildlife gardens, and if left to flower is great for bees.
One tube of seed balls will cover 1 square metre in a garden bed or 3-5 medium sized pots (leave at least 10cm between each ball). Best scattered from early Spring to late Autumn.
We make the seed balls ourselves from our HQ in North London - from a mixture of UK native wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The clay protects the seeds from wildlife, and once water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside will germinate, helped along by nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder deters slugs and snails while the seed ball degrades and and the seeds sprout. All wildflowers are listed by the RHS as 'Plants for Pollinators'.
