Zatchels

Created by conservation scientists, Seedball is a multiple award-winning gardening product that offers a new twist on an ancient technique for increasing seed germination rates – helping to fill our gardens, balconies and window boxes with native wildflowers.

A barrier of dried outer clay means that the seed is inaccessible to predators, and once sufficient water permeates the clay, the seed inside will begin to germinate – helped along by the nutrients within the ball. The chilli powder continues to deter slugs while the seed ball slowly degrades and the seeds sprout.

Seed balls are incredibly easy to use – simply scatter on top of soil or compost (no digging required!) and nature will do the rest. Seedball appeals to gift-givers, non-expert gardeners, and to people who are keen to support their back-garden wildlife.

Our green adventures started back in 2009 when we moved into a garden flat in East London. We renovated a Japanese and Italian water garden from it's overgrown past but with no prior garden experience we got stuck into the books and learned everything there was to know about pruning shrubs and planting. After the first year tidying the space up we were asked by a friend to join The National Garden Scheme. The scheme recognises gardens of quality and raises money for charity. It was a scary prospect of opening the garden to the scrutiny of the public. So we opened up for the first time and it was so exciting, we received some great positive feedback and some helpful tips from the seasoned gardeners! Subsequently, we opened our garden every year. We have since been featured on the BBC Great British Garden Revival.

COSY AND DOZY® is a company founded on our passion for animals and our desire to satisfy their natural instincts. We love simple, usable design and one day we decided to combine these two passions. 
Knowing that cats love elevated places, especially when sharing a household with children or dogs, we wanted to get a stylish perch for them but could find anything suitable on the market. One day the idea came to us to create a unique curved oval wall-mounted shelf for cats and, having made the prototype, our cats loved it. We were so glad to see they spent most of the time on the shelves. It was just amazing. When the perches were shown off to friends and family with cats, demand quickly grew, hence the idea of setting up a business emerged. 
The COSY AND DOZY® product range is constantly evolving and growing. Each item is unique and all are hand-made in Europe.

Making practical pretty with colourful retro style.
I started Enamelhappy in West Sussex in 2020.
The idea came when I was looking for an old fashioned "tin" cup that I LOVED, to use at my beloved allotment. A pretty one, that would also look lovely on my kitchen shelf, these didn't seem to exist.

I have always LOVED simple retro floral shapes and it seems I am not alone!
The cups have become VERY popular and we now make other items in our beautiful design, and recently added enamel plates to the collection.
As many as possible of our items are made in the UK by small businesses.
We focus on kindness to the planet wherever possible and also think that enamel is a brilliant and durable alternative to any plastic or single use items that people might use.
