Established in 2019, Essence of Hartland is a local North Devon business based in Hartland Village specialising in home fragrances made with essential oils. Inspired by the ancient dramatic coastline and clear marine waters surrounding the Hartland Peninsula, it's fauna and flora was the key to the first creations called 'Autumn Walk' and 'Bloom' which evoke the scent of the ever changing and unique environment of Hartland. It is important that local businesses support each other which is why the essential oils are sourced from a family run business in North Devon and where possible labelling and packaging is from the South West. Essence of Hartland is passionate and considerate of the unique biodiversity of the Hartland Peninsula which is why all packaging and ingredients are sourced from fellow local businesses and where possible recyclable and plastics kept to a minimum.

Muse began when I realised how much incense was a part of my daily ritual. From meditating, cleaning or taking time for a cup of tea I always enjoyed lighting an incense and taking a moment. I wanted to bring that small ritual to more people’s homes. A time to be thoughtful, focussed or inspired. It was when my mum became poorly that I realised how bad for you a lot of incense can be. So I began to look into natural incense. I then worked on having beautifully fragranced incense that is made from natural ingredients and scented with essential oils, so they truly help you to unwind. In a time when self love is more important than ever, I wanted to share something that felt like a treat but a treat for every day. Incense and eye pillows are where my journey with Muse has began and more self love treats are on the way.
