Delightfully joyful and Earth-kind stationery, journals and gifts designed and created by Somerset-based illustrator and bookmaker Mell Oliver. With a heart to uplift and encourage kindness to people and planet, all of my products are crafted using recycled, sustainable and locally sourced materials as much as possible, while choosing to champion plastic free packaging so as to lessen my impact on the environment where I can. Inspired by the beauty found in nature, the calming practice of journaling, and the joy of nurturing our unique self-expression, my work is a blend of warming tones, motivational lettering, botanical motifs and playful pattern design.

I try hard to ensure that all materials used are either recycled, FSC approved, recyclable, plastic free and sourced within the UK where possible, so you can rest assured knowing that each product has been sourced and made with love and mindfulness of the planet.

My name is Karen Johnson and I'm an alcohol ink artist working in Derby under the name of Millie Moth. I paint colourful flower pictures and from these I create my Wild Garden Collection of cards. 

Enjoying time in my own garden inspired me to start painting flowers and tangled greenery. I use vibrant alcohol ink pens with splashes of neat alcohol to disperse the ink. I work on Yupo paper which has a shiny surface allowing the inks to flow over the surface rather be absorbed.


I love to share my passion for colourful print and pattern through my watercolour designs. I work from my South Lakes based studio and I am hugely influenced by the colours and patterns in nature and mainly specialise in floral designs including bluebells, roses and poppies.
I paint all my watercolour designs for art and stationery by hand. I love working with watercolours because of the vibrant colours and the way the paints will run and mix together on the page. The colours can be so vivid as well as pale which is why I find this medium so fascinating to work with.

My business was born in 2015 when I decided to unify my love for illustration, nature, and lovely homes. My aim is to celebrate the wonder of the natural world through my watercolour illustrations and create thoughtful nature inspired products you can use, decorate your home with, or gift.

My work is greatly influenced by the natural world. I collect ideas from my wild garden, countryside walks, natural history books, and while looking after my abundant houseplant collection. My approach tends to be illustrative, detail-conscious and quietly vibrant.
