Our founder (Luciana Uchi Davidzon) is a Pastry chef from the French Culinary Institute (ICE today) with many years of corporate experience. She was freelancing in media as a writer for different outlets, including Huffington post, about.com New York Times site, the Latin kitchen, voxxi, The Guardian among others. She created Umikah’s spreads as a way to combine her business and culinary backgrounds. Uchi launched Umikah in NYC, the place that attracts people from all over of the world. She felt inspired by flavors from the all backgrounds and cultures.
