This is a highly nourishing, moisturising and restorative natural lip balm made with Calendula infused Sunflower oil, Organic Raw Rosehip oil* , Bergamot essential oil, local Beeswax and Vitamin E in a 15ml glass jar with an aluminium lid. This little tub of sunshine is incredibly soothing and nourishing for dry chapped lips. It glides onto the lips, softening and hydrating whilst creating a protective barrier from the elements. After applying the lip balm you could even add a little sugar to the lips to very gently exfoliate any dry skin away.

It contains an array of constituents that work together to create a potent healing remedy, one being salicylic acid, which is an anti-inflammatory that encourages tissue repair. Nicknamed the liquid gold of skincare. Bergamot:

We have used unrefined beeswax sourced locally, from a small-scale beekeeper, in our home county of Essex. Our supplier is so local we collect it straight from her house! We opt for beewax over other waxes because it is a byproduct and when sourced locally it has a much smaller carbon footprint than the alternatives, making it a more sustainable option. We think it is important to support local 'beecentric' beekeepers, that love and care for their bees and put them first. Plus it's naturally antibacterial!

Massage a thin layer of salve directly onto the lips to help soothe, soften and protect.

CAUTIONARY:
Some oils and herbs are not advised to take when pregnant. Please contact your doctor, midwife or medical herbalist when considering which natural products are suitable. If you have very sensitive skin I would recommend doing a patch test first. If irritation occurs discontinue use.

Why cold pressed and unrefined?

Cold pressed products go through a process of mechanical extraction (pressure) and low-temperature controlled conditions to extract the oil from the seed, nut, etc. Unrefined means the product has had no additional refining/preserving/deodorising. These oils can also be referred to as ‘virgin’ or ‘extra virgin’. This process ensures the finest quality product and makes the oil exquisite for cosmetics. The unrefined/cold pressed process helps the oil retain a rich, strong scent and colour that is true to its natural state, ensuring that the oil’s nutrients and the antioxidants remain undamaged and unchanged.

This is a highly nourishing, moisturising and restorative natural lip balm made with Calendula infused Sunflower oil, Organic Raw Rosehip oil* , Rose Geranium essential oil, local Beeswax and Vitamin E in a 15ml glass jar with an aluminium lid. Spearmint Essential Oil:
Because of its anti-fungal and antibacterial nature, spearmint essential oil is an effective treatment for scalp conditions like dandruff. Spearmint essential oil is said to stimulate the hair follicles thus promoting hair growth as well as strengthening the hair since it actively promotes blood circulation to the scalp area.

Why cold pressed and unrefined?
Cold pressed products go through a process of mechanical extraction (pressure) and low-temperature controlled conditions to extract the oil from the seed, nut, etc. Unrefined means the product has had no additional refining/preserving/deodorising. These oils can also be referred to as ‘virgin’ or ‘extra virgin’. This process ensures the finest quality product and makes the oil exquisite for cosmetics. The unrefined/cold pressed process helps the oil retain a rich, strong scent and colour that is true to its natural state, ensuring that the oil’s nutrients and the antioxidants remain undamaged and unchanged.

DIRECTIONS:
It is best to use this oil on slightly damp towel dried hair. Start by using 1-2 drops and then add a couple more depending on the length and texture of your hair. Rub the oil into your palms and then run your fingers through your hair, focusing on the lower half of your hair. Remember a little goes a long way! Too much will cause the hair to appear greasy. If you have wavy, curly or coily hair we recommend coating your hands with the oil and then scrunching and twirling your curls to define them.

You can also use this oil before using any styling tools, apply 1 to 3 drops into the palms of your hand and then run your fingers through your hair, again focusing particually on the ends. Then use a brush or comb to distribute it evenly throughout your hair which coats it with the oil, helping to protect from heat damage.

If you have very dry brittle hair we recommend using this oil as a leave-in treatment. Once a week treat your hair by warming 6 to 8 drops in your hands before massaging it into your hair. Work your hands through your hair until the ends are fully saturated. Then pull all of your hair up into a shower cap or towel. Leave in for few hours (or over night), then proceed to wash your hair and rinse well until all oil residue is gone. Apply this treatment once a week to maintain healthier hair.

Scalp treatment:
Rub roughly 6-8 drops of oil into your hands before gently massaging into your scalp. Leave on for about 15 minutes then wash hair as usual.

CARE:
Store in a cool dark place, this oil should be used within 6 months once it has been opened.

The Linoleic (62% composition) and alpa-Linolenic acids deliver potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties for the treatment of acne, dermatitis and other skin inflammatory conditions. Hemp seed oil is made up of 80% essential fatty acid, the highest amount of any other plant, it contains the ideal ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 based on our cells needs. Hemp so closely matches our own skins lipids (fats) it is able to penetrate inside our cells and lubricate the surface between them, thus bringing EFA's (essential fatty acids) within our body. For this reason EFA's have been said to play a preventative role in skin aging and a healthy moisture balance.

Calendula infused Oil:
Our star ingredient! This wonderful herb has been macerated in oil for many weeks to extract its potent wound healing properties. Calendula is considered a mainstay in herbal medicine for the treatment of inflammation, to speed wound healing and as an antiseptic. It is a powerful botanic rich in Salicylic acid which is a natural and gentle skin repairer. The Herb Research Foundation reports test-tube research indicates calendula contains antimicrobial compounds that may prevent the growth of certain strains of bacteria, fungus and protozoa. The antibacterial properties of calendula are thought to kill the bacteria trapped inside skin pores (which can lead to acne). High iodine, carotene and manganese, which promote skin cell regeneration, have also been found in the plant.

Achilles Charm contains a magical blend of potent herbs that we have macerated in organic botanical oils for many weeks to slowly extract their soothing and nourishing properties. This nutrient rich oil has been blended with locally sourced beeswax and Vitamin E to form a highly moisturising and soothing ointment for the skin. It comes in a 60ml glass amber jar with an aluminium lid.

Plantain, Yarrow and Calendula are truly a powerhouse combination when it comes to topical healing herbs. They have been used traditionally for thousands of years by many different cultures, for wound healing and to treat an array of skin conditions.

We cold infuse the Plantain, Yarrow and Calendula in oil for a minimum of 6 weeks before straining to ensure all the therapeutic properties have been extracted, creating a potent and powerful plant medicine. The oils transform in colour over this time which is truly fascinating to watch! Each herb and oil has been carefully chosen for their nourishing compounds and medicinal properties that help to soothe and protect, promote skin repair and tissue regeneration.

This salve is the perfect addition to your herbal first aid kit, it can be applied to bites, stings, scrapes, minor cuts, scars, dry itchy skin conditions and it is our absolute go-to for tattoo aftercare.

Plantain Magick:
The traditional use of Plantain - Plantago lanceolata - as a wound healing plant has been scientifically confirmed, studies have shown that it contains chemical substances that disinfect injuries, kill pathogenic organisms, reduce inflammation and accelerate the healing process. It is particularly well known for its ability to soothe insect and snake bites, nettle stings, eczema, psoriasis and burns.

Yarrow Magick:
Yarrow inspired the name of this salve...Achilles Charm! Yarrow's Latin name is Achillea millefolium, named after the Greek Hero Achilles. It was said that Achilles used this magical herb to help heal his soldier's wounds. Yarrow also has the nickname 'Soldier's woundwort', it was often found growing in battlefields and therefore became a trusted ally to soldiers to help cleanse and staunch bleeding wounds. Yarrow contains anti-inflammatory, antiseptic and styptic properties as well as astringent tannins and resins that help aid skin repair.

Calendula Magick:
Calendula officinalis, commonly known as pot marigold, is considered a mainstay in herbal medicine for the treatment of inflammation, to speed wound healing and as an antiseptic. Calendula has a rich history of use, particularly as a skin herb, which dates back thousands of years to ancient civilisations. Ancient Egyptians used this wonderful herb to rejuvenate their skin and aid wound healing. In WW1 a Calendula poultice was applied to wounds to prevent infection and inflammation. Today you’ll often find it in herbal salves that treat and soothe various skin conditions, from eczema to acne.

Calendula's powers aren’t just folklore. It contains an array of constituents that work together to create a potent healing remedy, one being salicylic acid, which is a powerful anti-inflammatory that encourages tissue repair. The synthesised version of salicylic acid is aspirin, which was first derived from Willow bark and Meadowsweet.

The Herb Research Foundation reports test-tube research indicates Calendula contains antimicrobial compounds that may prevent the growth of certain strains of bacteria, fungus and protozoa. High iodine, carotene and manganese, which promote skin cell regeneration, have also been found in the plant.

Jojoba Seed Oil:

Rosehip Seed Oil:

We have used unrefined beeswax sourced locally, from a small-scale beekeeper, in our home county of Essex. Our supplier is so local we collect it straight from her house! We opt for beewax over other waxes because it is a byproduct and when sourced locally it has a much smaller carbon footprint than the alternatives, making it a more sustainable option. We think it is important to support local ‘beecentric’ beekeepers, that love and care for their bees and put them first. Plus it’s a wonderfully healing ingredient, it is naturally antibacterial and creates a protective barrier on the skin which aids skin repair.

DIRECTIONS:
Massage a thin layer of salve directly onto the skin to help soothe, soften and protect.

DIRECTIONS:
It is best to use this oil on slightly damp towel dried hair. Start by using 1-2 drops and then add a couple more depending on the length and texture of your hair. Rub the oil into your palms and then run your fingers through your hair, focusing on the lower half of your hair. Remember a little goes a long way! Too much will cause the hair to appear greasy. If you have curly hair we recommend coating your hands with the oil and then scrunching and twirling your curls to define them.

You can also use this oil before using any styling tools, apply 1 to 3 drops into the palms of your hand and then run your fingers through your hair, again focusing particularly on the ends. Then use a brush or comb to distribute it evenly throughout your hair which coats it with the oil, helping to protect from heat damage.

If you have very dry brittle hair we recommend using this oil as a leave-in treatment. Once a week treat your hair by warming 6 to 8 drops in your hands before massaging it into your hair. Work your hands through your hair until the ends are fully saturated. Then pull all of your hair up into a shower cap or towel. Leave in for few hours (or over night), then proceed to wash your hair and rinse well until all oil residue is gone. Apply this treatment once a week to maintain healthier hair.

Scalp treatment:
Rub roughly 6-8 drops of oil into your hands before gently massaging into your scalp. Leave on for about 15 minutes then wash hair as usual.

Inside this Kraft pouch you will find your salts within a cellulose bag for easy pouring, this bag is made entirely from sustainably sourced wood pulp and is 100% biodegradable and suitable for home composting!

Lavender essential oil
Lavender is a magical soothing herb that does wonders to promote calmness and wellness. It is also said to help encourage sleep and reduce tension within the body. 

Frankincense essential oil
Frankincense is a sacred tree and both the oil and resin has been used for centuries to aid meditation and rituals. Frankincense essential oil has a sweet, woody scent and is often used in aromatherapy to help balance the nervous system and to ease stress.

Bergamot essential oil
In aromatherapy Bergamot is used for it's relaxing and soothing properties, helping to relieve an anxious mind.

The most prominent scent within this potion is Lavender. It is sweet and fresh with subtle hints of citrus that compliment the deep earthy undertones of the Frankincense.

Epsom salt, also known as magnesium sulfate, is one of many naturally occurring mineral salts. It is mostly known as a soaking solution for a number of common ailments. Epsom salt benefits range from mental to physical, making it one of the ultimate self-care essentials. It is said to help reduce stress, ease tension and relax the body. Epsom salt soaks are also used as a treatment to ease muscle tension, aches and pains, inflammation in joints and tired &amp; sore feet.

PACKAGING:
All outer packaging is recyclable/biodegradable/compostable. The outer pouch and cellulose bag are compostable.

Allergic reactions occur with even the most delicate of products. If you have sensitive skin we recommend adding a small amount to your bath first.

Our products are always: paraben free, sulfate free, cruelty free and have all of the required safety documents for selling legally in the UK and EU, which is one of the strictest regulatory bodies in the world.

All of our oil based products are 100% natural and preservative free and we only use ECO CERT, SOIL ASSOCIATION and COSMOS approved naturally derived preservatives for our water-based products. Our Achilles Charm salve and lip balms contain local beeswax and all other products are vegan friendly.

We care very much about leading a sustainable and ethical lifestyle and try to reflect that in the ingredients/packaging we use and the suppliers we support. Many of our essential oils and carrier oils are sourced directly from farms in the UK to reduce our carbon footprint. We also sustainably source oils and butters from various women-led cooperatives in Ghana. Our beeswax is ethically and locally sourced from a small-scale beekeeper (we collect it straight from her house!). Our labels are paper based and compostable and so is all our packing material. All products are in glass bottles/jars and you can choose either an aluminium cap, pipette or spray closure (depending on the product).
