How it’s made
After a first phase of sometimes many drawings on paper, when I finally finalise the design, I then recreate it in Adobe Illustrator. I then prepare design files to be sent to the laser cut printer who carefully laser cuts each shape.

I then assemble each item with different jewellery findings and semi precious stones in my North London home studio.

THE INSPIRATION BEHIND THIS NECKLACE
This necklace comes from a need to push beyond the regular 5 beads design and the inspiration comes from traditional beaded necklaces. I wondered if I could apply traditional beading techniques using modern material like silicone and creating a multi-tone palette, in this case, monochrome black/grey/white, to achieve a new intricate design which creates an affordable statement piece without breaking the bank or the neck, thanks to the lightness of the silicone beads.
