Strange Adornments is a small-batch, eco-conscious, handmade jewelry and accessories brand whose purpose is to encourage self-expression through strange, wearable art. SA is woman-owned, queer-owned and Latina-owned. Michelle, Owner, Designer and Maker, has been called strange as a child for her fascinations and style choices. Rather than letting it get to her, she embraced her weirdness and began to use jewelry as a form of self-expression. Through jewelry, she found a sense of comfort and acceptance, leading her to want to share her art with everyone around her. Many of the Strange Adornments pieces are inspired by mother earth and nature itself through the use of natural gems, earth tones and foraged materials, such as bone and horn, twigs, insects, etc. The products offered are a variety of earrings and accessories made of copper wires, chains, crystals, and real animal bone and horn. Bone and horn materials are ethically sourced from foragers located in the USA.
