Half a Donkey - the front and the back of the story Half a Donkey Ltd is a British Company, designing and printing in-house an eclectic mix of tea towels, and napkins. Run by husband and wife team, Lisa and Graham. Working with key British brands, we produce a striking range of traditional goods all made by us in the UK. We take commissions and work with designers and retailers on producing custom products. Why call ourselves Half a Donkey? A few years ago, Lisa's Auntie Alma and Auntie Anne retold the story that their brother Duncan (Lisa’s Dad) and a mate bought a Donkey.This was in rural West Wales in the 1930’s.They rented it out for removals and made some pocket money.Hence the phrase “did you know your Dad owned Half a Donkey?”.Lisa loved the name so much, she decided to turn it into a brand in tribute to her Dad.
