UNION JACK 100% Cotton Bunting We are delighted to share for sale our iconic Union Jack flags as bunting. For years we've been frustrated seeing Union Jack bunting for sale with the incorrect flag printed. Usually it's just a red diagonal cross at the back of the design, when actually it should be offset. So, we decided to just print our own! We have used a lovely medium weight cotton and printed the designs ourselves. Each one is approx. 18cm wide X 21cm long. There are 8cm gaps between the flags. They are double sided cotton flags, so the design is the same on the front as on the back. The bias binding is white polyester so should fair well outdoors as it's water resistant. Each length is three meters and will have 9 flags. You can hang these inside or outside, although if you do hang it outside for a long period of time, the colors will start to fade.

We just love cotton bunting and have always struggled to find a nice Union Jack print, so many of them are not the "proper" design. So, we decided to print our own cotton! This three meter length has 9 flags - alternating Union Jacks with Red, White and Blue cotton - which is about 230cm or 7.5 foot. The reverse is alternating red, white, blue, white, red, white, blue cotton. Perfect for adding a bit of celebratory color to any party or event, or just to hang in the bunting to frame a photo of your dogs!!! [funnily enough my dogs photobombed this shoot]Any questions, please ask. Practice stuff.... these are cotton, can be hung outside if you like, but don't leave outside for ages as they will eventually fade in the sunshine. Easiest way to launder is to surface wipe/wash and then hot steam iron to press. They are always difficult to untangle if you put them in a washing machine, so our advice is DON'T! For a long time now we've been wanting to design our battered and vintage style printed bunting. We've designed these in house during lockdown, and delighted to share them with you. For any British celebration! 

Practical stuff....These cotton flags are double sided and fixed to red and white bakers twine. We dispatch them with red amp white paper straws. You could use wooden kebab sticks instead of paper straws, but we don't supply anything other than the paper straws. They measure 25mm at the widest point and 28mm long. For years we've been accumulating denim jeans, the fabric is so wonderful and soft after being washed over and over again. If you have had good quality branded jeans, the fabric really will last for years.

 

I've always wanted to create bunting that's completely unique, so I'm slowly going through all those jeans to put together a few lengths of unique bunting. Each one will be different, but this gives you an idea of what the design will look like. A few plain, a few with an appliqué and some with pockets. The USA star has been made up of hand-stitched sequins and strips of different coloured denim. 

 

The flags are approx 14cm wide by 20cm long and the length will have 7 flags. The reverse will plain denim (without any appliqués or pockets) so there will be an obvious front and back look to it. 

 

You could use these for decorating bedrooms or kitchens and even use for displaying pin brooches or even add a flower to the pocket! Whatever you like really.....

For a long time now we've been wanting to design our battered and vintage style printed bunting. We've designed these in house this year, 2020, and delighted to share them with you. For any British or American celebration!


Practical stuff....

These cotton flags are double sided and fixed to red &amp; white bakers twine. We dispatch them with red &amp; white paper straws. You could use wooden kebab sticks instead of paper straws, but we don't supply anything other than the paper straws.

They measure 25mm at the widest point and 28mm long. There are seven flags on each run. The total length is approx 500mm. 

You can order all Union Jack or all USA or a mixture between the two.

The mini bunting will be packaged in a drawstring voile bag, so you can use it year after year. 

To use the bunting, tie it carefully to your straw (or kebab stick) and after use, untie and store in the voile bag.

"Baby" announcement bunting... is our new line of personalised bunting when you want to announce to the world you're having a baby! Maybe you want to use it to announce the sex of the baby? Whatever you would like to use it for, our design is one flag with handwritten font "Baby" on one flag, followed by block capital sequin letters of your surname. We will use white cotton as the main colour, and add whatever colours you would like. Strong colours will work best, like this example we have in red lettering.

 

This particular one has been designed for "Baby Sussex" so we've added a Union Jack flag either end. 

 

As all our bunting is made to order, this is just an example of what yours could look like. To place an order, please let us know the Surname and your colour choice. We will add end flags and bias binding to match the colour scheme. 

 

The price is for upto 6 letters in the surname.  If you want MORE than 6 letters, use the drop down menu to add in the total number of letters you want in your surname. So, for example, if your surname is STEPHENSON choose 10 in the drop down menu. The price will be altered accordingly.

 

Each flag is approximately 18cm wide X 22cm long.

Our personalised children's bunting are just lovely - they really make for unique birthday or Christmas gifts and can be treasured for a lifetime. Each flag is approx 16cm wide X 21cm long with approx 5cm gaps and 30cm end ties. 

 

We will use sentence case lettering for the hand-stitched finish and CAPITAL LETTERS for the machine finish.  The stitching and bias will be chosen to complement the fabric colours.


HOW TO ORDER:

3. Choose from the drop down menu the finish of the stitching

4. Add into your basket the number of flags you wish to order

There are loads on the market, and some of them incredibly cheap, but the fabric is awful. It just doesn't last. We wanted something lovely for our own dogs so I decided to just make our own design! We are currently making them out of fabric we have in stock, so not all fabrics will be available all of the time, but they will be fabrics that work for the type of life a dog leads! We have a Springer Spaniel and a Fox Red Labrador, so I know what it's like to be a dog owner.... These are made for pretty ocassions, otherwise they'll be in the washing machine (at 30C) everyday, however, why shouldn't your dog get dressed up when you do?!

These are made out of 100% cotton and are washable at 30C - once dry use a hot iron to repress.

CHRISTMAS dog bow ties!

 

No, it's not a Dog Face Mask! It's a Christmas Bow Tie!

 

We have never been a family that dresses our dogs up, except for special occassions, and of course the Christmas season counts as a "special occassion" - well, we think so!

 

I've designed a bow tie using Christmas fabrics (although you can have any colour you like...) in two sizes. A regular or a large. The larger one for either a hooman or a larger dog....

 

They are stitched with elastic to go over the dog collar, so should fit all standard dog collars. They are all cotton, so could be washed, but I'd recommend they go in a laundry bag within the washing machine so the elastics don't get caught up with the other clothing. 

 

SIZES:

 

Regular: 10cm wide x 7cm tall

 

Large: 12.5cm wide x 9cm tall

PRETTY PASTEL CAKE BUNTING TOPPER

This is such a cute way of decorating a cake - it's seven double sided cotton mini flags that sit on top of a cake fixed to butters twine. The bunting will come in it's own voile bag, so you can use it year after year. We include the paper straws for you, which look so pretty. 

We have a tip for using the straws... use wooden kebab sticks and push them into the cake, slide the straws over the kebab sticks. This way the straws don't get soft at the bottom where they touch the cake and also the straws will stand straighter! We don't supply the wooden kebab sticks, but you can buy them in any supermarket. Worst case senario you could always used dried spaghetti, it works just as well!


We can always personalise this for you, please just ask.

The bunting will be pretty much the same as in the photo - but not exactly the same as each one is made by hand so there are always slight differences.

These cotton cake toppers should be surface wiped only.

These medieval styled flags that are printed onto 100% cotton. The background colour is an off white. Although this photo is of a Mr and Mrs, we can make up either Mr and Mr or Mrs and Mrs. 

 

The flags are approx 28mm wide X 35mm long.

 

It will be attached to a cream embroidery threads and supplied with paper straws of pale or vintage styles depending what we have in stock. The end two flags can be any colour (or you can have without) so please let us know when you order what you would like.

TIP: when standing them on the cake, we use bamboo tooth pics to push into the cake first, then the straws stand over the tooth pics. This means you're not pushing the straws into the cake, but it also means they are standing up straight.

This is really cute mini double sided fabric bunting made to order, with matching retro paper straws. It is in two lengths and packaged loose with matching straws. It's really easy to tie the strings to the straws when you are ready to assemble. 

 

Any message can be hand stamped in sentence case on the triangular flags, previously we have added the baby's name and Christening date, or just "New Baby" or "Baby Boy/Girl/Shower" if the baby is yet to be born. Please note that as Christening is quite a long word, it will need a fairly big cake to make the bunting hang well.

 

This option for buying is for having either two strings of flags or three strings of flags.

 

All we need to know is what colour you wish and what sort of pattens. Please bear in mind that we will need to use fabrics that show the letters clearly. We will choose a paper straw that matches the colour scheme.

 

ONE TIP: use wooden kebab sticks and push them into the cake, slide the straws over the kebab sticks. This way the straws don't get soft at the bottom where they touch the cake and also the straws will stand straighter! We don't supply the wooden kebab sticks, but you can buy them in any supermarket.

Christmas Bunting Craft Kit

 

We have been selling craft kits for a long time, and they are simple and easy to follow kits that contain 30 pre-cut triangles and 3 metres of bias binding. Full instrutions can be found on the reverse of the card packaging and it will be packed in a zip-lock reusable plastic bag.

 

Even if you're not great at sewing, you could use these to create pretty bunting - it's cute and it's a great way of spending a couple of hours.

 

We are always here to help you if you get stuck. We are going to put up a YouTube video to help you make this, so we'll update this page once it's live.

 

We can't guarantee the fabrics will be the same as the photo, but they will be all Christmassey and reds and whites.

These are made to order and we can fit around 9-10 flags per line. If you decide to order two strings, the lower line looks better if it's a little longer as it hangs better on the cake.

This stylish laminated box is an exciting new addition to our product portfolio. It measures approx 28cm wide x 22cm deep and 11cm tall. It's constructed of recyled materials, except for the ribbon tag and magnetic clasp. The top of the box is printed with a vinyl print, and can be personalised. A maximum of 20 characters per line. There are two options, either a WHITE box with black writing or a BLACK box with white writing.

B. THE WEDDING BOX. This box contains:

(1) a "JUST MARRIED" bunting, in one length, in triangular flags. Cotton flags with white heat-pressed cotton capital lettering edged in machine stitching. 

(2) a personalised named bunting, in triangular shaped flags for the bridal couple. Cotton flags with white heat-pressed cotton capital lettering, machine stitched edges.

(3) a mini cake bunting, "Mr &amp; Mrs" printed on cotton one string as per the photo (in off white cotton) with end flags in colour to match your colour theme.

(4) 2 lengths of 3 metre bunting in colours to match, in triangular flags.



As this is a bespoke option, it's made to order so there will be a turnaround time of at least 2-3 weeks.

We suggest you surface wipe bunting, although they are cotton, in our opinion putting bunting in a washing machine isn't adviseable as it tangles up too much. You can hot press these with an iron, and store flat and dry back in their box ready for another celebration.

As part of our new vintage denim design range, we've created this very cute banner for that very important person, the Tooth Fairy. Now, I'm hoping there is no-one reading this who is young enough to still use one of these tooth fairy banners, but it's design comes from something that happened in my own childhood.

 

We never actually had any tooth fairy banners or pillows. The "tooth fairy" aka my mum, used to put her hand under the pillow and try and find the tooth before we woke up in the morning. I still distinctly remember how I found out that the tooth fairy wasn't real as one morning, after waking up and finding my 20p under the pillow [I'm sure it's probably more like a £1 now] I ran downstairs to show my parents. There on the kitchen floor was my tooth. I was so shocked and also sad that the tooth fairy hadn't taken it with her. My mother, who sadly wasn't blessed with the kindest of hearts, just laughed at me and said "oh dear, it must have fallen out of my apron pocket!" I was absolutely mortified. That moment in time is imprinted on my memory forever more!

 

So, when I thought about the design of this banner,  I wanted something that would (1) keep the tooth safe, (2) be of easy acess for the tooth fairy, and of course (3) look cute. So this banner has tapes to tie to a bed or even to a cuddly toy, and a little drawstring bag for keeping the tooth VERY safe. 

This is a patchwork of denim jeans, which will be good quality denim from anything from LEVI to Lee. We're trying to use the pockets for the front and the legs for the back. Each one will be different so it will be hard to say exactly what yours will look like, however, the layout of the wording and the hand-stitched tooth will be the same. We could actually have turquoise blue or cerise pink sequin lettering if you wanted. All the sequin and cotton fabrics are being used from waste parts of our bunting making.


This is a brand new product (Feb 2020) so we will keep adding photos as we create more. Please note that these are made from recycled fabrics so no two are the same. We cannot guarantee they will look the same as the photograph.

For years we've been accumulating denim jeans, the fabric is so wonderful and soft after being washed over and over again. If you have had good quality branded jeans, the fabric really will last for years.

 

I love taking iconic images of places and trying to work them into my bunting. I spent years living in the North East of England, and there is nothing more heart warming than travelling over the River Tyne on the train - all of a sudden you see the bridges - I always smile. I remember I felt that the very first time I travelled over the bridge going to my interview at Newcastle Poly (in the days before it became Northumbria University).
