Lasair Choille or Goldfinch with its stripes of red and yellow which presumably inspired its beautiful Irish name which means forest flame.

Each piece is made on cotton that is printed with my design and then stitched by machine and by hand. A layer of wadding is added to create a relief effect after stitching.

Each textile art piece is in a quality Irish white wooden and glass box frame 31cm by 31cm with a picture opening of 14cm by 14cm. The frame has an adjustable metal hook on the back to allow for hanging.

Irish Birds

My birds are handmade and each one is different. The forms are simple created in lots of different poses to give the impression of movement and energy when they are placed together. They look great grouped together on a deck, doorstep or windowsill creating a colourful focal point.

They are fired to stoneware temperature and can be used outdoors as well as inside. Each piece is stamped with my logo.

Glenbarrow is a beautiful trail in Irelands Hidden Heartlands. The walk is along the source of the river Barrow, the second longest of Irelands rivers. It's in one of the most scenic areas of the Slieve Bloom mountains with beautiful waterfalls and woodland along its banks. It's one of my favourite places to hike.

The Seasons - Winter/Geimhreadh

The four seasons are given their Irish names. Each season is based on the same photo from Mullaghmeen woods with the changing colours and creatures represented in textiles.
