The eye-catching artwork is a collage of my own hand-painted watercolour designs which I then digitally printed onto the vegan super soft fabric. The 'Boto' design was inspired by the myths which the Amazonian's believe; their pink river dolphins named 'Botos' have magical shape shifting powers and the jungle itself is has a powerful allure that will lead intruders to their death. The colourful flowers have a traditional beauty which counter balance the 'ugly' skull motif. At 60x60cm this bold design adds colour and texture to an interior and make a statement in a large room. Boto design is also available as a Silk Scarf and framed print.

I take inspiration from science, nature and mythology working with slow fashion ethics in mind. Not only do I use botanical and animal motifs in the artwork but also produce all pieces with a little harm to the environment as possible, using local manufactures at much as possible.

The dreamlike artwork is initially watercolour painted on paper then transferred onto the silk using digital printing and with only the pattern pieces being printed to avoid any wasted ink or silk.

These unique garments are handmade from 100% Silk and digitally printed with unique, original artwork by textile designer Alice Acreman. Designed, digitally printed and sewn in the UK, they are crafted in small batches and made with respect for the planet.

Alice's inspiration for creating a statement print, showcased on a simple garment shape was inspired by the traditional Japanese Kimonos.  In Japanese culture, beautifully decorative kimonos are cut from simple rectangular shape patterns and  worn ceremonially and date as far back as the 1660s. This modern interpretation, a lightweight, open-fronted jacket can be styled a worn of ways both casually and formally and disregard short-lived fashion trends.

The 'Oracle Silk' is Hand-painted, square Silk Scarf edged with a vibrant orange boarder and is part of the signature 'Evolution' Collection by Alice Acreman Silks.
Inspired by the traditions of textile design and the discipline's developments to embrace more modern techniques, the Evolution collection contrasts tradition with unique, innovative creation. This digital print scarf features a striking hand painted orange Octopus with coiling tentacles and references the belief that this fascinating creature is able to predict the future. Also incorporated into this unusual design is the vintage style star chart, another reference to future prediction and scientific discovery.
There are a variety of ways to style this scarf, the orange tentacles which creep from the lower right corner make an interesting feature when worn around the neck
