Commonly known as the Ari, Rav Isaac Luria was a 16th-century Master Kabbalist who laid the foundation for the way we study Kabbalah today. A spiritual prodigy, the Ari decoded the Zohar and organized the secrets of the universe into a system that could be learned and applied to one's life in a practical wav. The Ari produced many important kabbalistic works; however the most sacred and precious of the Ari's writings--the Etz Chaim (Tree of Life)-were concealed for more than a generation after his death. These writings dealt specifically with the Origins of Creation, starting with the timeless reality of the in Sof (the Endless World and moving through each stage of Creation. By studying the origins of Creation, we gain insight into the origins of consciousness-and how we can elevate our own consciousness and experience the fulfillment that the Creator thought to bestow upon us and the entire world.
