After I first shot this photo I entered it into a photo contest and was one of the winners! I printed the image on silk and had it on display in a clothing boutique in the same neighborhood as where I shot the photos. After the event was over I gave the print to a young fashion designer I knew who made it into a dress. I printed a few more items on fabric for her to make. When I finally saw the dress on a young model at a fashion show at a bar on Mission Street in San Francisco I was hooked on making fashion with my prints!
