The Windenmolen in Amsterdam, or officially 'De molen De Roozeboom' is one of the paintings that the French impressionist painter Claude Monet made during his three visits to the Netherlands in the years 1870-1880. In 1871 he stayed in Zaandam for four months, in early 1874 he visited Amsterdam and in 1886 he worked in the bulb region. During these stays he would make 42 paintings with typical Dutch subjects such as river views, often with windmills and boats, cityscapes of Amsterdam and tulip fields.
