Description
Our Nigella seeds also called “Black Cumin” are produced in Morocco. They belong to the genus Nigella from the Latin "Niger" meaning black and referring to the color of the seeds.
Whole or ground, these Nigella seeds will accompany rice, fish, puff pastry, lemon cakes, hummus, chicken tajines...
It has been cultivated since ancient times by Egyptians and Indians who consume it as a spice. According to the Prophet Muhammad, this seed possesses a mysterious power. He writes about it in his collections of Hadith: “Treat yourself using the seed of nigella, it contains a remedy against all evils except death”.
Use of nigella
You can take a tablespoon of ground nigella seeds with honey, ideally on an empty stomach.
