Kuku Pendant features an Inlay of a Carolina Parakeet, made with mother of pearl set in Black marble. We lovingly make jewelry using the ancient art of Pacchikari, a Stone inlay handicraft from the city of Taj Mahal, Agra, India. These are handmade and part recycled. Ours is a Women-owned business and we employ artisans from the minority community in India to make these inlays. Our iconic inlay pendant features Kuku, The Carolina Parakeet bird which is now extinct due to excessive hunting. Its beautiful colorful feathers were used to make hats. Kuku’s engraving on this wearable art is a reminder to love our biodiversity and let this not happen to another co-resident of our planet. The package includes 1 unit of the pendant.
