Origin: KHLA nutmeg is harvested in central Sri Lanka by small producers organised in a cooperative. We offer whole nutmeg that has come directly from producers, in order to preserve its aromas and freshness. Label: KHLA nutmeg is organically produced. Culture: Nutmeg comes from a dioecious tree, the nutmeg, about ten meters from which only the females bear fruit. It is these seeds composed of a shell and surrounded by a laciniated aril called mace that give nutmeg. Nutmeg is packaged whole to retain its strong aromatic quality, and should be grated in your dishes or your spice blends. It will go perfectly with your dishes, in sauce, gratins, vegetables and pies, but also in your sweet dishes. It is a very good cooking aid.
