Elegant hammered silver shard earrings, perfect for everyday wear: they go with everything. The silver or 9ct gold shard is made from recycled eco-silver or ecogold and is about 1.5 cm long: they can be oxidised for a darker, antique look if you like, just let me know. Satin finished and gold ones are hallmarked. All my jewellery is gift-wrapped in tissue or recycled card giftboxes. What is ecogold? Ecogold is recycled gold that has been recycled back via a traceable process into fine gold. The feed material for Ecogold comes in the form of scrap from market sectors such as the jewellery, giftware, medical and electronics industries. If a bar is offered as potential source material for Ecogold, written proof must be supplied confirming that it is not from a mine or from fine gold that has not previously been recycled. What is ecosilver? Eco-silver is a green alternative to sterling silver. It is a little bit more expensive but has the same silver content as sterling, it's just made of 100% recycled and scrap silver products. Eco Silver can be both treated and worked with in the same way as silver, for the same quality results but more environmentally friendly. Produced from scrap jewellery, medical equipment, electronics and giftware, all the eco silver I use comes with a certificate of authenticity and is hallmarked if it is the required weight.
