The onion confit with PGI Modena’s balsamic vinegar is a particular kind of marmalade characterized by bitter-sweet notes and an intense brown-purple color. This sauce is ideal with cheese, glorifying the taste, without overpowering the flavor or in combination with various types of meat. A suggestion: try it with “Lardo di Colonnata” or with a special “Prosciutto crudo di Parma”. It is a rarity of unique taste, a treat to serve on tables.
Ingredients:
Red onions 60%, sugar, Barbera d’Alba DOC wine, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar of Modena 3% (cooked grape must, wine vinegar), salt. May contain traces of celery. The product does not contain GMOs.
