I start with a continuous, one-line life drawing sketch made by hand, before adding the background and leaf inspired shapes to create a daydreamer reclining on her patterned rug, dreaming of the flowers that inspired Henri Matisse Cut outs. Each of my lino prints are hand drawn and carved into lino plate by myself, before carefully applying the ink to create the resulting image. Due to each one being handmade, they are all an original and each print will vary slightly in colour and texture – making every one an individual and truly unique piece of art!
