Description

Attractively golden. Refreshing and easy to drink. Can be enjoyed on its own or with food. A light malty taste with aromas of freshly baked bread. The hint of hops will mean you come back for more. A beer that is best enjoyed slowly, to appreciate the subtle flavours as it warms in the glass. This Blonde Ale is an all-purpose beer that can be enjoyed at any time of day. Natural and unfiltered, to make the most of its natural features. It has no added sugar. We use only cereal fermentation and cold conditioning to ensure totally natural carbonation and prevent sediment in the bottle. Style: Blonde Ale. From: Cerveceria Artesana Raiz Cuadrada Volume: 33 cl. Alcohol: 4.8 % ABV History: Israel and Hector are the fourth generation of their family to work with cereals in one way or another. Their father, grandfather and great-grandfather were all bakers in the small town of El Barraco, Avila. Their family continues to bake real, excellent-quality bread and they are including fresh bread as an ingredient in some of our recipes, as a way to reuse the amazing bread produced every day in our family bakery. Tasting notes: Visual: Yellow, with hints of gold. Although it is unfiltered, several weeks of cold conditioning means this ale has a truly clear appearance. Medium carbonation creates a line of bubbles around the rim of the glass. A pure white head, with small bubbles and good retention. Olfactory: Notes of cereal and freshly baked bread. These aromas can be fully appreciated when the beer is consumed at 10°C. Flavour: The malts and whole wheat bread used to make this beer add cereal and bread flavours to the finish. The aftertaste of hops is long-lasting and pleasantly bitter and balances the sweetness of the malts Serving and Pairing: This beer works very well with simple, uncomplicated food, creating synergies which boost the flavours of both and meaning you’ll be back for more. Try it with salads, rice dishes, mild cheeses (soft cheeses like cottage cheese, quark, and chèvre), nuts and light fish or meat stews. Served between 4 and 6 ºC. Awards: Silver in "The International Beer Challenge 2020" Ingredients: Water, barley malt, whole wheat bread, hops and yeast. Allergens: Contains barley and wheat. GLUTEN FREE
