Waste tires and inner tubes are a growing problem across the globe. Every year more than 3 billion tires are thrown into landfill sites which are having hugely destructive affects on our environment. Be a part of the change and contribute to a positive use of these recycled materials by designing and constructing your own sandals. Join the tire revolution and make a change!
Good to Know
In this workshop, you choose from a range of fabrics and sew your own sandal straps. If you have a favourite pattern or t-shirt you want to upcycle, you may also bring this along to use! The tires will form the base of your sandals and are an amazing and durable alternative to leather. The sandal design is versatile. and with your newfound skills, you will be able to change the straps and styling every season!
During the workshop, you will also learn about more of the work that Laura is doing to craft and up-cycling tyres into various useful, fashionable items. She will help guide you and provide instructions which will enable you to unlock your inner creativity and create something unique and sustainable.
Sandals are 100% cruelty-free and suitable for vegans. No previous experience needed. All tools and equipment are provided.
