LoofCo Washing-Up Pad is hand-made in Egypt from the gourd of Luffa Aegyptiaca plant with an Egyptian cotton string hanging loop. An ingenious traditional use for a loofah is for dishwashing and is a perfect biodegradable alternative to plastic sponges and scourers. When dampened its natural plant fibres become soft enough for non-stick pans, supple enough to fit into mugs. Approximately 13cmx8cm in size. LoofCo is our range of natural plant-based household products - loofah sponge, scourers, (coconut) brushes, pan scrapers, cloths & soaps. All sustainable, plastic free, zero waste & vegan for an eco home. To Use: Fits neatly in the hand. May appear abrasive when dry but when immersed in water, the washing-up pad swells to become a circular spongy flexible pad. Use in warm water with washing-up liquid or LoofCo Washing-Up Soap. To keep loofah fresh between uses, rinse, squeeze out excess water, shake out any food particles & hang to dry from the cotton string loop. Occasionally wash in the washing machine or by hand. Last for months and when worn out can be composted.
