Description

A beautiful raw boulder opal from Queensland, Australia, set in a simple silver rub-over setting: this one has sold but I make them to order so I can send you a photo of the opals I have available to make into a unique ring for you. The colours are so beautiful: I particularly the turquoise and blue shades with plenty of flashes in them. The shape and shade do vary a lot so it's good to check you like the stone before I make it up for you: just let me know you ring size and I can make it to fit you perfectly. The dimensions of this one are around 14mm x 10mm pebble; the ring shank is 2mm wide round silver: dimensions will vary with each found piece of sea-glass or slate pebble. All my jewellery is giftwrapped in tissue or recycled giftboxes

About Sarah Drew Jewellery

United Kingdom

Every coat I have has pockets full of precious found things: I hear shells rattling about with bits of plastic when I pull one on to take the dog out, I fiddle with acorn cups while I'm waiting for a coffee in my local cafe; I scrunch up bits of lichen and tangled sea-string while I'm trying to find my gloves. Using recycled materials, remaking old broken jewellery or basically ‘rubbish’ in this way is a sustainable way of creating unique pieces that aren’t a strain on new resources and whose material components are traceable. I use traceable boulder opals from Australia set in eco-silver for magically coloured statement rings and pendants; and I’ve been collecting amethysts, aquamarine and other crystals from local sites Cornish crystal claw-set rings and pendants.
