Retailer FAQs

What is CREOATE?

CREOATE is a business to business (B2B) marketplace that connects retail buyers and sellers for the purchase of wholesale products. Products are purchased directly from our network of independent makers and brands and are intended for resale purposes and not for consumption.

How do I pay for orders?

Permanent brick and mortar retailers are eligible for 60 Day Payment on Account, you will receive an invoice upon ordering with subsequent reminders until the invoice is settled up to 60 days. Spending limits apply. However if you would like to pay off your invoices sooner you can do so.

For e-commerce buyers or temporary retail locations, account limits are assessed based on your trading history. In general, first orders must be paid before orders are dispatched.

Payments can be made by bank transfer or credit/debit card through PayPal.

How much is shipping?

We know shipping is an annoying hidden and unpredictable cost that unexpectedly crops up on your wholesale order.

We make shopping for new products easy and transparent, no matter what brand you choose.

If you spend £200, your entire order (which can be made up of multiple brands) you will get Free Shipping on the entire order.

Not spending that much? Don’t worry. We offer a very competitive flat rate fee to the UK (£7.99), Europe (£15.99) and RoW (£24.99).

Is drop shipping available?

Creoate does not offer drop shipping to customers of buyers / retailers.

You will be required to provide a valid, physical address to receive the product that you order through the site.

Why do I need to register?

Our marketplace is for business to business (B2B) wholesale trade only, so is restricted to verified users to protect the interests of our brand partners. You can freely browse our site without registering.

You only need to register to unlock wholesale pricing and make a purchase. It is important that when you sign-up you provide accurate information about your business. The more information you provide during sign-up the less likely there are to be delays with receiving orders.

How do you select brands?

We personally approve each brand that is listed on our marketplace. Many come from recommendations from retail partners or brands. By focusing on sourcing skilled creative entrepreneurs, we aim to bring you the highest quality products.

If you have a brand that you’d love to see on our site, we want to know!

How can I search for new products?

Discovery and exploration is one of our main objectives. We require makers to assign a unique category to each product so that you can browse by areas and values that matter to you. New products and makers are added all the time and we’ll feature new brands and best sellers on our home page. You can filter products by category or values at any time.

Can I contact the brands to ask questions?

Yes! You can communicate with any brand to ask questions about their products using the ‘Message’ icon on the brand store pages. However, if you prefer to speak with a member of the CREOATE team, you can send your question to us at hello@creoate.com.

What are the minimum orders?

A brands’ minimum order value or minimum order quantity is the minimum amount they are willing to sell to a buyer at wholesale prices. If you do not reach the minimum requirement, then you will not be able to place your order.

Each brand sets their own minimums and you will notice that this amount varies between each brand.

As you add items to your cart while shopping for a brand, you will be shown whether you are meeting their minimum order amount or not. By adding more items to your cart, you will become closer to meeting this minimum.

Can I amend my order?

If you purchased incorrect items, ordered too much, or bought from the wrong brand, we can help you with a partial or full cancellation of your order. As many items are lovingly made to order, we require 24 hours notice from placing an order to make any changes.

Note: Once an order has shipped, we cannot cancel the order as it will already be in transit to you.

When will my order arrive?

Lead times vary per brand but on average products will be with you within 1-2 weeks. You can see average lead times at the top of each brand page and for each individual item. Once your order has been confirmed, brands are requested to get in touch to confirm any delivery dates along with tracking details from the relevant shipping provider.  These details will be updated in your “Orders” dashboard.

How can I join?

To access the platform as a buyer, you must intend to purchase the products for resale and not for your own consumption. Unfortunately we are not able to accept buyers that resell on Amazon or eBay.

Registering is easy! Just click the button below or on our homepage. Fill in some basic details to verify your business. We normally respond to requests within 24-48 hours.

How does VAT work?

You are responsible for paying and reporting all taxes related to your activity on the site.

We facilitate the calculation of taxes based on the VAT status of each part of the transaction, so please review your order details carefully before accepting. Once an order has been fulfilled, we may be unable to remedy any overpaid or underpaid amounts. All VAT details are already on your invoice available in your Orders, if there is no VAT it means the buyer is not VAT registered

Some guidance on how VAT calculations are estimated on the platform:

Non VAT registered suppliers: Are not assumed to be liable for charging VAT so VAT will not be present on invoices

VAT registered suppliers: VAT will be added based on the local country guidelines provided by suppliers. VAT registered buyers will be provided with the VAT number of the supplier and may be able to claim this back.

Intra Community Supplies: Where both parties are members of an EC country and VAT registered, no VAT will be added to the item invoice. The VAT number of both parties will be included on the invoice.

* Note, CREOATE is VAT registered and our marketplace services fee is VATable. However, no VAT is added for VAT registered EC suppliers.

Brand FAQs

What is CREOATE?

CREOATE is an online wholesale marketplace that helps you grow and manage your wholesale business. Get discovered by new stockists and get more orders from existing stockists or leads by passing on our stress-free terms.

How and when do I get paid?

Payments are released when items have safely arrived and the 5 day window for claiming damage or missing items has passed. This allows us time to resolve any discrepancies and protects you from any future claims against your products or services. Then cash appears in your account within 1-2 business days of the payment being processed

Payments are made from a GBP account using your preferred payment method. Payment to non GBP accounts will be made based on available rates at the time of payment. We are not able to reimburse for any fees linked to the payout method you choose.

Ensure you have saved your preferred payout method in your Payments Dashboard (Dashboard > Settings > Payments) to avoid any payout delays.

How does shipping work?

We do not maintain any stock of products sold on the marketplace. Once an order is placed for your products, you will receive an order notification with details on the order. Package your items securely and carefully to avoid any disappointment on the other side!

You will be able to share your typical shipping lead time during the onboarding process. Your brand page will inform retailers of your average lead time.

Notify us when the order is ready to ship and we will provide you with shipment details (labels, tracking, collection window) using our network of couriers. Occasionally we may agree in advance for you to ship using your local shipment provider where our services are not available or suitable, in which case we will reimburse you for an agreed cost.

How much does it cost?

We are a commission only platform, with no upfront or monthly fees. Our success based model means we only make money when you do.

Commission rates are 20% for first orders with a new buyer and 15% for reorders.

Our model is designed to be accessible and flexible for any ambitious brand and priced competitively against alternatives such as sales agents which can cost up to 25% with an exclusive, long term contract or trade shows which cost thousands with no guarantee of sales.

In addition, you can share our offers of free shipping, payment by invoice and special promotions like 10% off for new buyers to get more orders from your existing stockists. Any orders from these accounts will be at 0% commission forever, helping you get more re-orders without any costs.
